Mark Trusz, Photographer
Mark is both a photographer and an enthiusiatic photography instructor. As early as he can remember he's had a camera in his hand, and used to find peace in his darkroom all hours of the day or night. For ten years he has been learning all about the digital imaging technologies, Since 2002 Mark has been the instructor for the TDSB's "Introduction to digital photography" and "Advanced digital photography" continuing education courses, and offers his own workshops to small groups interested in learning more about photography outside of the classroom.
Mark uses all types of cameras: Digital (Nikon, Fuji and Olympus cameras; Nikon and HP scanners) and Film (Nikon 35mm, Rollei 6x6 and 6x4.5, Various 4x5 formats), as well as most major imaging software for digital photography.
Mark is Past-President of Gallery 44, a non-profit artist-run centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Gallery 44 celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2000 as a leading supporter of Canadian contemporary photographic artists.
Mark works primarily in black & white, and loves making personalized portraits.

Mark (with the help of some of his friends) put the first version of the picturetheweb site together in 1999, and does all the maintenance and design. This latest verion of the site was published in january 2007. It's is best viewed with a monitor resolution of 1024x768 or greater.
All the images (except the GIFs) on this site have been processed with Digital Light & Color's "Picture Window Pro" image editing software.
